The Holmes Party -
Les Gravelles was everything we wanted as a family holiday. Lovely, clean accommodation, beautiful settings, and extremely relaxing. The husband was happy fishing and caught some lovely fish, the biggest being 27lb. The children were in their element being able to run free around the grounds, fish when they wanted plus had the pool to calm them down when it was very hot. Me (Mum) well I managed to read some lovely books (provided by the owners), and had a great time just relaxing. I would definetly recommend Les Gravelles to families wanting a relaxing holiday in beautiful settings. The owners were lovely and also extremely helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble and would definetly return

Had a really lovely family holiday, storms were incredible. Our girls loved the fishing and rambling (4 & 8 years of age) will come again for the 3rd time !!

The house was lovely and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We are glad that we found you in the fishing magazine back in England, and if anyone asks where to go in France we will give them your number.
The Leathem Family -
This was a superb holiday with something to engage all the family.
We caught 50 carp from 14 to 32 pounds during our fortnight, fish with a healthy average weight of 20 lbs. We also caught eels to 2 lbs, perch to 2 lbs and a large number of small roach. The prime time was between dusk and dawn but we found other equally pleasurable ways of filling our time on bright, sunny days when the fishing was unproductive.
We thoroughly recommend, for example, splashing out on lunch at L'Emeraude Restaurant in Confolens. Trotting a worm down the Vienne is also worth a try when fishing in the lake is quiet
